Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information CaseWax collects, what it does not collect, and how that information is used. It covers this website (https://casewax.com) and the CaseWax Windows desktop application.
1. The desktop application does not send your case files
CaseWax is designed to run on your own Windows computer. Your documents, questions, search activity, call recordings and transcripts stay on that computer. They are not uploaded to our servers, to a cloud provider, or to any third party as part of normal use of the software.
The application can operate without an internet connection. We have no technical means, through the product as shipped, to read the contents of your matters or to see what you ask the software.
2. Information we collect through this website
When you request a free trial or a licence, you may submit details through the form on this site. That typically includes your name, work email address, firm or practice details, team size, and any message you choose to write. We use that information only to respond to your request, issue a licence, send an invoice if you buy, and provide support.
We do not sell this information. We do not use it for advertising networks. We keep it only as long as needed to handle your request and any related licence or support.
3. Hosting and technical logs
This website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider. Like most websites, the host may process standard server logs (for example IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) for security, reliability and abuse prevention. Those logs are controlled by the host under their own terms.
4. Cookies and tracking
This marketing site may use privacy-friendly analytics provided by our host (for example page views without advertising cookies). If we later add other analytics or trackers, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.
5. Payments
We do not collect card numbers on this website. If you purchase a licence, payment is arranged by invoice and the payment details we send you. Your payment provider processes payment data under their own privacy terms.
6. Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about your website enquiry, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us through the form on this site and stating that the message is a privacy request. Uninstalling the desktop application removes the software from your computer; local data created by the application remains under your control on that machine.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the website or software after an update means you accept the revised policy.
8. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent through the contact form on https://casewax.com. Please mark the message as a privacy enquiry so we can prioritise it.
